Perfil sociodemográfico asociado a la ideación suicida de las personas transexuales

Las personas transexuales experimentan tasas extremadamente altas de conductas suicidas. Sin embargo, aunque la ideación suicida se considera un precursor importante de intento de suicidio, se ha prestado poca atención a esta problemática y al perfil sociodemográfico de este colectivo. Así, nos proponemos identificar la prevalencia de ideación suicida en una muestra de pacientes transexuales y explorar su perfil sociodemográfico. OBJECTIVE: Aim of this study is to report on basal clinical phenotype and follow up after diagnosis, of patients with 17beta-hydroxysteroid-dehydrogenase type 3 (17beta-HSD3) deficiency in Italy. SETTING: Pediatric Endocrine Departments, University Hospitals. PATIENTS: The cases of 5 Italian subjects affected by 17beta-HSD3 deficiency are presented in this study. IntroductionSuccess rates of psychotherapy in post-traumatic stress disorder related to childhood maltreatment (PTSD-CM) are limited.Methods and analysisObserver-blind multicentre randomised clinical trial (A-1) of 4-year duration comparing enhanced methods of STAIR Narrative Therapy (SNT) and of trauma-focused psychodynamic therapy (TF-PDT) each of up to 24 sessions with each other and a minimal attention waiting list in PTSD-CM. Identity Distress, Psychosocial Maturity, and Adaptive Functioning Among University Students

The Identity Distress Scale (IDS) was developed as a clinical indicator of severe disturbance or interference in identity development (Berman, Montgomery, & Kurtines, 2004) based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as identity disorder (DSM–III–R) and, subsequently, as identity problem (DSM–IV). This study examined various indices of identity distress as indexed by the IDS in relation to several antecedents and outcome measures among university students in Canada and Spain.
